Samsung launches new Galaxy tablet to challenge iPad

According to Taiwan media news Samsung on September 17 in the United States released a new Galaxy Tablet PC, and video and television show online entertainment platform, challenged Apple iPad and iTunes.

Samsung said that the US wireless carriers AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon will sell the Galaxy Tab. This tablet was unveiled at the IFA Electronics Show in Berlin, Germany in early September.

GalaxyTab will be sold in the United States in the future, but Samsung did not disclose the details of the price of this computer.

Samsung said that GalaxyTab can access media provided by MediaHub, a new content service, at Samsung.com.

Entertainment companies such as MTVNetworks, NBC Universal, and Paramount are partners of MediaHub, and Samsung said it will provide a library of movies, including new films, television album previews, and full-season television shows.

Users can rent movies and TV albums, and can share with up to 5 devices such as the smart phone GalaxyS.

Samsung said that GalaxyTab uses an Android operating system that can support more than 80,000 applications.

The tablet computer market is surging, and a variety of products will be listed one after another, challenging the iPad.
